I have been serving this congregation since August 2013.  Prior to serving the Belgrade church I served a congregation/church plant in Fresno, CA for 14 years.  I went to Dordt College for a BA in history where I sensed a call to ministry.  After surviving nearly bearable cold windy winters in Iowa I graduated Dordt and then I attended and graduated Westminster Seminary in Escondido.  I still enjoy studying theology and thinking about the things of the Lord in addition to my normal sermon preparation.

I have been married to my lovely wife Heidi since June 1997.  The Lord has granted us three beautiful children that we cherish.  We enjoy living in this area and serving this church making our contributions to the body of Christ as we are gifted to do so.

In my free time I enjoy cycling.  My ideal ride is the one that brings me back the dirtiest.  However, I know that road riding is useful to build endurance and shrink the human equator so road riding has become an enjoyable escape as well. I cope with winter by Nordic Skiing.  I have actually been able to enjoy winter because skiing allows me to get out and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to meet you face to face.  May the Lord’s blessing and peace be upon you.
